Hotel Capri is located in Bardolino on Lake Garda
The mild climate, the lake and the fertility of the hills have always been the riches of Bardolino . It was these resources that made this land contended in the past by emperors, monks and noble families, who built here castles, palaces and convents . An extraordinary historical and artistic heritage has thus formed over the centuries, witnessed today above all by the towers and the remains of the Scaliger walls, by the beautiful churches (often small masterpieces of Romanesque art) and by parks and villas Venetian period. Today Bardolino has become one of the most established Italian holiday resorts.
Here modernity and the past coexist beautifully. To welcome tourists in Bardolino and Cisano on the lake and in Calmasino on the hills, there are over fifty hotels, various residences and tourist villages and a dozen large campsites. The restaurant, then, takes advantage of the precious contribution of fishing and agriculture: the gastronomy enhances the lake fish in dozens of dishes, inevitably accompanied by Bardolino wine , ruby red or rosé in the Chiaretto version, and from the very light olive oil . Behind Bardolino is Cavaion Veronese, a land of rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive trees. Chroniclers of the fifteenth century claimed that the best wines of Italy came from here. Today's gourmets marry wine and oil with local asparagus. A small museum collects precious prehistoric and Roman finds. Hotels and leisure facilities welcome tourists a stone's throw from the lake.
Events and sports!
"Bardolino" wine is the protagonist of the Festa del Chiaretto (May), very old is the Sagra dei Osei in Cisano (September), the Grape and Wine Festival (October) and the Novello Wine Festival (November). Lake and hills are ideal gyms for outdoor sports: it is no coincidence that Bardolino hosts the most important international Triathlon race in Italy (June).
